DISEASE: A TOXICITY CRISIS

DID YOU KNOW THAT MOST DISEASES OCCUR DUE TO A TOXIC OVERLOAD IN OUR BODIES?

Some people may think that disease, pain or inflammation occur sporadically and randomly during our lives. Is this really the case? Are we random subjects to disease or do we have the power to change our health? They say that knowledge is power, but we would be powerless without triggering any ACTION

The natural healthy state of our body is achieved when we are in homeostasis, i.e. in BALANCE. But what does this really mean? Well, one of the biological aspects is that the timely elimination of waste material and toxins must balance the uptake of appropriate nutrients. Essential nutrients may provide energy to repair cells and to assist in the removal of toxins.

Toxins ("ama", in Ayurveda) may originate from the following sources or behaviours:

  • daily waste from our own cell's metabolism

  • ingested toxins (e.g. food additives, heavy metals, or unhealthy foods)

  • addictive toxins (e.g. smoking, alcohol, recreational drugs)

  • medications or vaccines

  • our pathogenic microbes (viruses, bacteria, fungi) or parasites

  • overeating or eating at late or irregular hours

  • excessive consumption of acid-forming foods (e.g. caffeine, meat, sugar, carbonated drinks)

  • processed, radiated, refined, deep-fried, microwaved or canned foods

  • negative emotions (e.g. anger or fear)

  • insufficient sleep or overworking

It is important to correctly and regularly manage or purge our toxic overload, and allow our system to naturally heal. If we don't, our cells, tissues, ducts, vessels, capillaries, veins, arteries, organs, lymph or other systems may end up becoming congested. Congestion will cause blockages in one or more of our 16 "srotas" (in Ayurveda, it refers to our internal, electrical, plumbing and waste systems) that may then allow:

  • toxins to accumulate even faster

  • trigger potential genetic mutations (as a result of an increased presence of free radicals)

  • reduce oxygen and blood circulation

  • starve cells of essential nutrients

  • prevent fast elimination of toxins

  • prevent our immune cells from reaching strategic locations

  • create perfect niches for further reproduction of pathogens.

Congestion and toxic overload may cause acidosis, mitochondrial damage, hypoxia, and chronic inflammation in our system. An acid, hypoxic (low oxygen) and congested environment provides the perfect conditions for the further deprivation of nutrients, decrease of immune function, proliferation of pathogens, and toxin production (e.g. cadaverine and putrescine).

If homeostasis is disturbed for long enough, for example, when the amount of waste or toxins is significantly larger in our bodies than our uptake of relevant nutrients, the amount of toxic waste could reach a point of saturation. This is the point at which an inflammatory (or immune) response may begin to occur. During this time, our body would show an increased production of white blood cells (WBCs). WBCs may then burrow into blood vessel walls, causing damage. Our body may respond to repair our cells by plugging the walls with LDL cholesterol

The inflammatory (or immune) response resembles the symptoms of disease (e.g. pain, inflammation, rashes), but is necessary for regaining health through homeostasis. The inflammatory process is a natural healing response of our body to repair cells, and eliminate weak or damaged cells, pathogens or toxins. Therefore, suppressing the symptoms of "disease" or inflammation (e.g. through the use of some medications) may undermine the body's own mechanism used to heal itself.

Some health conditions are emergency measures of our body to prevent any further damage from the potential leakage of toxins into our bloodstream (e.g. sepsis or death). Depending on the source, level and mobilisation of the individual toxins, pathogens or parasites, we may end up with: allergies, asthma, Alzheimer's, appendicitis, atherosclerosis, autism, arthritis, cancer, chronic fatigue, Crohn's disease, colitis, congestive heart failure, dementia, depression, diabetes, diverticulitis, fibromyalgia, hernia, IBS, kidney disease or stones, lymphedema, Lupus, obesity, osteoporosis, polyps, skin disorders, stomach ulcer, stroke, tonsillitis, or other "disease".

The symptoms of "disease" (toxicity crisis) should not be mistaken to be the disease, as they will begin to vanish, if the natural healing is allowed to take its course without much interference. Although symptomatic relief of the "disease" may result from some conventional treatments, without appropriate detoxification, the fundamental cause of "illness" will not be cleared and the "disease" may only manifest again at a later stage. In some chronic cases, effective detox and fasting protocols and/or complementary therapies (e.g. Ozone, IV Vitamin C, Rife frequency) may be necessary.

To maintain health or to prevent future inflammation or chronic toxic overload, it is vital to keep our bodies clean, oxygenated, relaxed, nourished and energised.
